Walking, walking walking! Owen took his first steps back on September 10, but he is really walking a lot more now. It's fun to watch him. He still walks a bit like Frankenstein at this point with his arms out in front of him.

We gave Owen a cupcake on his birthday Tuesday. He played with it, smeared it around, but he refused to eat any of it. We'll see if he eats any of his cake at his party tomorrow.

364 days old!


The last night as a baby. Tomorrow is the start of toddlerhood.



One year ago today. The day before Owen was born. I could not wait to meet him and hold him! I had no idea how lucky I was going to be to have such a wonderful little boy. He puts a smile on my face each and every day. I'm so lucky to be his Mom!

Prune feet!

Owen is getting his two top teeth right now, it doesn't seem to be bothering him too much. A couple weeks ago I taught him what a lion says, so he walks around roaring most of the time now. He sound so ferocious! Once in a while he will meow also if you ask him what a kitty says. He's not walking yet, except around furniture, and he loves to climb the stairs. Only a couple more weeks until he's 1! I can't believe it!

This was probably Owen's favorite thing all week, playing in the kayak. He loved it! I think he would have stayed there all day if we let him.

Owen had a great time at the beach last week. He loved the sand. He loved playing with it and crawling around in it. He wasn't too sure about the water at first, but he started to like it more towards the end of the week. More beach pictures to come soon.

Owen's cousin was born Sunday July 23 at 6:48 pm. 7 lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. They named him Samuel William and everyone is doing fine. He's absolutely adorable.

Owen turned 10 months old yesterday. It's been an eventful month! He learned how to sit up from a laying down position, how to crawl and how to pull himself up on furniture, which he especially loves to do in his crib when he's supposed to go to bed.

I am very busy following him around all day, and the dog is very busy running away from him!

On Saturday Owen will have his first trip to the beach, we'll be out there all week. Let's hope the weather cooperates! It should be fun.

Owen is going to have a new little cousin any day now!
