The kids love playing in our little pool! I think they were in it for at least two hours that day. It also took me at least two hours to blow the dumb thing up. Needless to say , we now have a pump to blow up the pool.

On Friday we had my mom over for dinner and we had our own little fireworks show here at home. Owen and Audrey loved it. We did them before the kids went to bed so it was still light outside. So exciting! The entire package of fireworks we bought seemed to be the same thing over and over, but the kids still loved them.


Saturday we went to the Holly Hock Lane parade. It was the 75th anniversary this year. The kids got tons of candy and had a great time. In the evening we went to Dan's parents house for dinner. Here are some pictures from the evening.

About a month ago we took the kids to the museum to see the dinosaur exhibit. Owen was so excited about this he couldn't wait to get there. We walked into the exhibit and Owen says to me "Mommy, I want to get outta here!". I'm thinking, great, we just spent all of this money to see this and now we'll have to leave. Owen did finally warm up to it though. It was really loud and all the dinosaurs we're moving (they were animatronic). I think Owen thought they were real dinosaurs. He never did want to get too close to the T-Rex.

He really liked this tree house they had set up.

We also went on the carousal. Audrey had a grand ol' time on that. Owen did not want to ride on one of the horses so he sat on one of the benches they have on the carousal. It was a quiet morning at the museum so we had the carousal all to ourselves.

In other news, Audrey started climbing up on the couch by herself already a couple weeks ago. I couldn't believe she was doing that already. I just hope she doesn't try to climb out of her crib anytime soon!

Curls

Dan and I went to Traverse City for our 6 year anniversary. This was the first time we went anywhere overnight without the kids. Owen stayed over at Grandma and Grandpa Milanowski's house and my mom came to our house and stayed with Audrey. We drove up on Saturday morning. When we got there we went and had lunch at The Mackinaw Brewing Company. After lunch we went to six of the seven old mission peninsula wineries for wine tasting. They all had great wine and we came home with some of our favorites. The view was beautiful up there.(the pictures don't do it any justice) We went to dinner that night at Minervas and then slept in the next morning, went shopping for a while and then drove home in the afternoon. It was a great weekend!
