Curls

Dan and I went to Traverse City for our 6 year anniversary. This was the first time we went anywhere overnight without the kids. Owen stayed over at Grandma and Grandpa Milanowski's house and my mom came to our house and stayed with Audrey. We drove up on Saturday morning. When we got there we went and had lunch at The Mackinaw Brewing Company. After lunch we went to six of the seven old mission peninsula wineries for wine tasting. They all had great wine and we came home with some of our favorites. The view was beautiful up there.(the pictures don't do it any justice) We went to dinner that night at Minervas and then slept in the next morning, went shopping for a while and then drove home in the afternoon. It was a great weekend!

Happy 6 year anniversary!

We've been having fun outside when the weather has been nice. The kids love going outside. I got Owen some new toys to play with outside which include a pink golf set (it was free at Toys R Us with the purchase of another toy). At 3 1/2 he doesn't care that it's pink so he's been having a lot of fun with it. The only annoying thing about playing in our yard is that it is mostly dirt, not much grass. We have too many trees back there so not much grass can grow, and with the dog peeing everywhere it kills all the grass that does grow. The kids get VERY dirty. And of course my least favorite thing to do before we can go out and play is to clean up the dog poops. Anyone want a dog?

Audrey is a walkin fool now. She walks about 80% of the time now. She's also learning lots of new words. Some words that she says are: Daddy (her favorite word), Mommy, doggy, hello, hi, Elmo, cracker, ball, car. She also knows some animal sounds. If you ask her what a particular animal says she almost always says "woof!" but she also knows a duck says quack and a cow says moo. Her hair is getting really curly now, it's so adorable. I will post some pictures of her curls soon.

I have not had any coffee the past two days. It's so hard! Coffee is my friend. I decided to try giving it up. My heart has been beating weird again the past couple months. Weird is about the only way I can explain it. It just doesn't feel right. Don't worry I did call my doctor about it. They had me wear a 24 hour holter monitor, and of course my heart only beat weird once while I was wearing it. So far in the past two days it has been much better so maybe it does have something to do with the caffeine, but man am I tired!

Beautiful Blue Eyes

Audrey may end up having surgery on her eyes. She has had a blocked tear duct since she was born. It doesn't really seem to bother her much but her right eye waters a lot and there is often a tear on her cheek. It's only been in her right eye but I recently noticed her left eye watering too. She did already have an appointment with an opthamologist about a month ago. She said since her symptoms are mild (her eye doesn't get goopy and crusty) she wanted to give her three more months before we schedule surgery and see it resolves on it's own. She said it most likely will stay blocked though. So we go back on June 26 if it hasn't cleared up by then.

Owen and Audrey had fun coloring Easter eggs this year. Only one egg ended up broken on the floor. We colored eggs on Saturday. On Sunday we got up and had an Easter Egg hunt, had a nice breakfast before heading off to church. After church the kids took naps an then we went over to my mom's for dinner.

This is a little late but here are the pictures from Audrey's other birthday party at my mom's house. It's been a while since I took the pictures off the camera and put them on the computer. These kids keep me busy!

And here is my nephew Nolan who turned one two weeks later, April 1. Happy birthday Nolan. He's such a cutie!

Audrey has started trying to walk. She only takes a few steps at a time and not very often yet. She prefers to crawl since that is so much faster. She had her 1 year check up last week. She is 30 1/2 inches (90th percentile) and weighs 22 lbs 6 oz (70th percentile). We got the kids pictures taken last weekend. They turned out really great. It was hard to decide which ones to order!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Audrey had a lot of fun at her party last Saturday. That was just the first half of the celebration. She has another party coming up this weekend. I can't believe she is one already. I'm going to miss her baby days, but I'm so excited for the coming year. It will be fun to watch her grow and change! Pictures from her birthday are at the end of the slide show.
